A funeral service celebrating the life of Judy Lane Blanchard Slaughter Cardino, 69, were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 18 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Coushatta chapel with Bro. Jeff Shows and Bro. Wylann Cloud officiating. Interment followed in Bethany Cemetery. Judy was born Feb. 25, 1949, in Natchitoches Parish to Henry “Hoss” and Pearl Dickson Blanchard and passed away July 15, 2018, in Natchitoches Parish.
She was a retired truck driver. She attended Bethany Church and Union Hall Baptist Church. She enjoyed making floral arrangements, loving her pets but most of all, loving her family.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleveland “Hucky” Cardino Jr.; brothers, Glen and Perk Blanchard; sister, Bertha “Janette” Adams and brother-in-law, Hershell; and brothers-in-law, Freddy Perot and Thomas Holman.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandra Ates; grandchildren, Chelsea Ates and fiancee’ James Giddings, Douglas Ates, Judy Sabrina Ates and fiancee’ Randy “Patty Pooh” Demery; brother, Charles Blanchard and wife Susan; sisters, Eletha “June” Koppie and Elizabeth “Liz” Perot; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Honoring Judy as pallbearers were Corey Layfield, Dillan Adams, Christopher Adams, Dustin Layfield, Roosevelt “Big G” Wilson, Raymond “Paint” Bradley and Randle “Rambo” Perot.
The family would like to give a special thanks to family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
