Funeral service for Donald Lee Ferguson will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Marthaville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donald Lee Ferguson, 70, years of age and a resident of Marthaville, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in Alexandria. He was born March 13, 1948, in Natchitoches to J.W. and Ada Belle (Ammons) Ferguson.
Donald Lee was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He was a true Louisiana outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his dogs. He was a loving husband and an excellent father; a compassionate man that would help anyone in need even if it meant he sacrificed his own needs. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Lorenne Remedies Ferguson; daughter, Jeanette Elaine Ferguson; son, Dewayne Mitchell and wife Elizabeth; sisters, Mary Falcon and Ollie Mclain and husband Shelton; brother, Joe Ferguson and wife Darla; brothers-in-law, Eldon Remedies and Joe Remedies; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Joe Ferguson.
