The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m., LA 1226 will be closed at the US 71 intersection. The intent of this closure is to remove the existing deteriorated pipe and replace with a 96 inch corrugated metal pipe. This closure is expected to last approximately three days.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the pipe replacement. The detour is a follows:
East bound: US 71 north to US 84 east, back to La 1226.
West bound: US 84 west to US 71 south, back to La 1226
