Dr. Donald J. Johnston, assistant professor in Northwestern State University’s College of Nursing (CON), and two NSU recent Nursing graduates, Brianna Burke and Lilith Choate, conducted a podium presentation at the 29th Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Research Congress in Melbourne, Australia on July 19-23. Their presentation was titled “You Need to Study More! The Unintentional Psychological Consequences of these Five Words.” This year’s congress theme was Innovative Global Nursing Practice and Education Through Research and evidence-based practice. The objective was to explore innovative research and evidence-based practice strategies that improve global health outcomes. The congress included over 500 plenary sessions, oral presentations, posters, and workshops. From left are Choate, Johnston and Burke.
