BARBARA ‘BOBBIE’ HATSFELT VAZIRI
NATCHITOCHES, LA
Dec. 17, 1946 – Aug. 18, 2018
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara “Bobbie” Hatsfelt Vaziri will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with the Rev. Mark Swinnea officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Barbara “Bobbie” Hatsfelt Vaziri entered this world Dec. 17, 1946, and the world will never be quite the same. Bobbie brought a zeal for life with her and maintained it for 71 wonderful years. She retired from the Civilian Personnel Office at Fort Polk after a long career there and settled in Natchitoches for her retirement years with her husband of 20 years, Morteza. Those who knew Bobbie appreciated her direct approach. She was a realist and loved her family and friends with a ferocity that won’t soon be forgotten. Bobbie loved trips to the casino with Morteza, spoiling her granddaughters and cheering on her beloved New Orleans Saints as a long-time season ticket holder.
She passed from this world Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Eugenia Johnson Hatsfelt; oldest sister, Vera Elizabeth Farrar; brother, Ronald Vernon Hatsfelt; baby sister, Verna Kay Disatell; and an infant daughter.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish the memories of Bobbie are her husband, Morteza Vaziri of Natchitoches; one daughter, PJ Harville Sibille and husband Brent of New Orleans; two granddaughters, Zoe and Amelia; four sisters, Billie Ray and husband Elroy, Kathy Jordan and husband Ricky of Oakdale, Donna Parrot and husband Steve of Negreet and Linda Ryder and husband Roderick of Oberlin; and one great aunt, Betty Flowers of DeQuincy.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Scott Sutterfield, Steve Sutterfield, Kevin Hagan, Robert Hagan, Shelton Hatsfelt, Richie Bolmarcich, Jack Graham and Ricky Disatell.
