By Juanice Gray jgray@natchitochestimes.com The body of a young woman found floating in Bayou Pierre near Jordan Ferry May 16 by patrolling La. Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries agents has been identified.
The Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office conducted the autopsy and released the identity as Kyia Pier, a 19 year old black female. Detectives with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday that DNA results confirmed the identity.
No further information about Pier is being released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
