NSU Cares Run/Walk for Hope will be Sept. 15 at 7 a.m. This event will show support and raise awareness for suicide preventions. There is no registration fee and the first 50 participants will receive a T-shirt.
Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum will host Jeff Girard, state regional archaeologist and assistant professor at Northwestern State University, as he discusses the recent archaeological investigations and the implications for understanding the early Caddo peoples. This event is Saturday, Sept. 15 from 2-3 p.m. This is free to the public.

The 12th Annual Natchitoches Classic Car Show is Friday, Sept. 28-Saturday, Sept. 29 on Front Street and the riverbank. The Natchitoches Junior High School Food Pantry Program offers fresh fruits, vegetables and non-perishable food items from The Food Bank of Central Louisiana. Complete an application with required documents and bring to the pantry site during distribution, which is in NJHS Jag Room F106. Food distribution is the second and fourth Friday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
