Educator earns Doctorate


Meridith Zepp Bergeron earns Doctorate from the University of Florida

Meridith Zepp Bergeron of New Roads graduated from the University of Florida Aug. 10 with a Doctor of Education degree in curriculum and instruction specializing in educational technology. Dr. Bergeron, who has been an educator for 10 years, also holds a bachelor’s of arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2007) and a master’s degree in education from Northwestern State University of Louisiana (2012). She is a 2002 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Natchitoches.

Dr. Bergeron serves as the director of educational technology at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge. In this position, she oversees the design and delivery of distance education course offerings and assists faculty with implementing educational technologies in the classroom. She is married to Joseph Bergeron of New Roads and is the daughter of Ralph and Betsy Zepp of Natchitoches.
