The 2018 Natchitoches Christmas Angels Pageant will be Sunday, Oct 7 at 2 p.m. at Magale Recital Hall.
The Natchitoches Christmas Angels are the junior ambassadors to the Natchitoches Christmas Festival. They strive to promote the festival, get involved in community service and make local charitable contributions.
The deadline to enter the pageant is Friday, Sept. 28. Entries can be mailed or dropped off to Erin Smith at Bolton Realty, 304 University Pkwy, Natchitoches. Forms are also available on the Natchitoches Christmas Angels Facebook Page.
The pageant is open to those in pre-k through eighth grade. The entry fee is $60 and there is a $20 discount for each additional sibling. The attire for those in pre-k through sixth grade is Christmas party dress and for those in seventh and eighth grade, it is floor-length formal dress.
The winner of the People’s Choice Award category will receive a large Christmas crown and custom banner. The winner will be determined by the number of votes ($1 per vote with no limit) purchased for each participant and will be presented during the announcement of 2018 Christmas Angels.
The winner of the Photogenic Award category will be chosen by the pageant judges. Pictures should be no larger than 8×10 (color or black and white). Pictures do not have to be professionally taken. Photogenic is included in entry fee.
A queen, first and second alternate will be chosen in each category. Queens will receive a custom crown and banner. The first and second alternate will receive a trophy and alternate crown. This is a crown all pageant.
Those in seventh and eighth grade will have an onstage question. A list of possible questions will be sent with form so contestants can be familiar with them.
