NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Eugene P. Watson Memorial Library is hosting “Reading the World: From Tablet to Tablet” through Sept. 30. This 10-panel display colorfully highlights the evolution of books from stone tablet to digital tablet. The display is in the library’s main lobby.
“The exhibit is useful for all sorts of projects about the history of texts, transmission and technology,” said Dr. Patricia Brown, coordinator of instruction information literacy at the library.
“Reading the World: Tablet to Tablet” was created by Calcasieu Parish Public Library and Culture Fest Louisiana and was made possible through donations. Artwork is by Erik Jessen of Mixed Media Group.
