Dion Boyett of the Women’s Resource Center Board of Directors announced at the WRC Celebration of Life Gala Thursday, Sept. 27 that the Natchitoches location has plans to move to a building across from the current headquarters.
The process will be completed by the beginning of 2019 and much of this was made possible by a building fund donation of $25,000 from State Senator Gerald Long, on behalf of himself and his family. His wife, Rose, passed away 18 months ago and was an advocate of the Women’s Resource Center.
She was a founding member of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Rodgers, Ark., and a board member and president of the Natchitoches WRC. Senator Long spoke about how passionate Rose was to this cause to the Gala’s crowd at the Natchitoches Events Center Thursday.
The Women’s Resource Center will continue to be a ministry for years to come, he said.
