Saturday marks the first time the Northwestern State football team will play at home in 28 days. And local children ages 12 and under can be a special part of the Demons’ return home by signing up for the annual Super 1 Foods Kids Day, which begins at 3 p.m. Saturday. Check-in begins at 3 p.m. and participating children will be able to meet the NSU team during its Demon Walk through the tailgating area at 3:15.
At 4 p.m., participants will have access to games, bounce houses, face painting booths and will enjoy a visit from Vic the Demon and the NSU cheerleaders. At 5:30 p.m., the group will head to Turpin Stadium for a group photo before creating the runthrough tunnel for the Demon football team as it takes the field to face Nicholls.
Throughout the day, Super 1 Foods will provide hamburgers and hot dogs for the children and dessert from Dippin’ Dots will be available. LaCapitol Federal Credit Union will provide drinks. The cost for the full day of fun and events is $5 per child or free for members of Vic’s Kids Club. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. One child will win a gift card courtesy of LaCapitol.
