Registrar issues statement on voter data privacy

64
Recently there has been a news article circulating regarding the voter data from 19 states being sold on the internet.

Statement:
Our priority, as we’ve demonstrated in the past, will always be to protect voters’ personal information. This includes social security number, mother’s maiden name and date of birth. As you may know, voter lists are publicly available by law, but only include limited information including name, address and voter history. Voter history is not how a voter cast their ballot, but whether or not they participated. In no uncertain terms has Louisiana’s voter registration database been breached, therefore no personally identifying information has been disclosed.
