City employee investigated for theft

Natchitoches Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) received a complaint Tuesday, Sept. 11 that a City of Natchitoches Employee was using a city issued fuel card to illegally purchase fuel for his personal vehicle and the vehicles of various other persons.

The CID began an extensive investigation into the reported theft(s) and investigators uncovered the theft of approximately $833.39. Based on the evidence obtained by investigators, a warrant for the arrest of Jacob Young was obtained and later executed. Young, 24, of Natchitoches was arrested on one count of theft and transported out to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where he was later released on a $1,500 bond.
