Tears flowed Thursday night at Natchitoches Central from the Seniors and their teammates of the Natchitoches Central volleyball team. This night marked the last regular season home game that these young ladies will play for their home crowd.
However, the tears and pleasantries did not last long. Once the floor was cleared coach Nikki Murphy and the Lady Chiefs were ready to go to work and that is exactly what they did.
The Lady Chiefs swept the visiting Northwood Falcons winning three of five sets. The first set was NCHS 25- Northwood 19; the second set was NCHS 25- Northwood 18; and the third set for the win was NCHS 25- Northwood 17.
This win gives the Lady Chiefs an overall record of 19-7 and a strong consideration for the playoffs after coming up short in the Lady Chiefs inaugural season of 2017.
