A memorial service for Juanita Martin, 60, of Chestnut will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel, Coushatta, with Pastor Sandra Sanford officiating.
Mrs. Martin was born July 22, 1958, in Natchitoches, LA and passed away November 12, 2018.
Juanita Martin, or Mere, as most of her family called her, was a wonderful, God-loving woman. She put Christ first in all she did and taught her children and grandchildren to do the same. She loved her husband “Big Al” with all her heart and wanted nothing but the best for him. She adored her children and cherished her grandchildren, giving them love and affection every time they saw or spoke to them. She was the most honest, loyal and loving friend there could ever be and will truly be terribly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam Joyner Friday Sr. and Rhoda Luvenia Friday, and her sweet baby “Tank.”
She is survived by her loving husband, Alvin “Big Al” Martin; her beautiful children, James Melvin Martin (Elizabeth Martin) and Lauren Alicia Johnson (Joseph Brett Johnson); her four grandchildren, Alexis Martin, Tiffany Martin, Joseph Evan Johnson and Alicia Johnson; two brothers, Carson Friday and Sam “Buster” Friday; and two sisters, Kathleen Lloyd and Jeannie Friday. She was also survived by life-long friend, Billie Ann Friday; and best friend, Charlotte Williams; along with a host of family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Lowring Family.
