The Gloria Project will host the Fifth “Come Give Thanks With Us” Thanksgiving dinner Sunday, Nov. 18 from noon – 4 p.m. at the John Below Community Center.
This year will be different than past events, as each family will be provided with a “take home” meal to serve in the comfort of their own homes instead of eating at the facility. Families and individuals are welcome to pick up a Thanksgiving dinner consisting of one frozen turkey, rice, macaroni, green beans, sweet potatoes and more, all packed up and ready to bring home. There will also be gumbo served at the facility while meals are packed up for visitors.
To donate for the cause, contact Phillip Jean-Louis Jr. at 337-852-4242 or Carlos Hartwell at 318-609-0766. The Gloria Project is a non-profit agency that works with youth and families to promote an overall functional behavior in their home, school, and community.
