Our beloved mother, a resident of Cane River, passed away in her home Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fello and Joyce L. Payne Sapp of Cane River; her son, Donald Ray Sapp; and sister, Marie Sapp.
She is survived by her children, Jayce L. Metoyer (Mickey), Shirley K. Frick (Charles) and Kenneth W. Sapp; sister, Annette Page of Natchitoches; four brothers, Pastor William Sapp Sr. (First Lady Lillie) of Shady Grove, Hanklin Sapp (Marguerite) of Floresville, Texas, Nathaniel Sapp (Gladys) of Iowa, La; and Neville Sapp of Texas; seven grandchildren, Calvin Hoover Jr., Kisha R. Sapp, Camilla Metoyer, Donnisha Coutee Mims, Donnie Bayonne, Donovan Turner and Kenneth Sapp Jr.; one aunt, Ms. Irma Payne; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. at Jabez Missionary Baptist Church, 706 Texas St., with Pastor William Sapp officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery in Melrose.
