There are not enough words to describe the totality of the person that was Lisa. Lisa was truly a blessing and gift from God. Lisa was an extraordinary, compassionate, caring and selfless person that always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was a “best friend” to so many because she made people and relationships a priority in her life. Lisa had an infectious smile, gorgeous, big green eyes, a pure, humble heart and a warm, loving personality that would light up any room. She was an eternal optimist. She had a genuine love for life and a greater love for the Lord. Lisa was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church. She excelled in her work in the legal field, as she tirelessly worked to make the legal system better. She served Natchitoches Parish as a legal assistant/ judicial administrator to Desiree Dyess and the 10th Judicial District Court. She will be dearly missed but always remembered as a loving wife, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, God-mother and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, James Borders of Natchitoches; beloved mother, Margaret Chesser of Natchitoches; two big brothers, Terry Chesser (Mary) of Ashland and Jerry Chesser of Natchitoches; many special nieces and nephews, but especially Kaleb Chesser, Jared Chesser, Brittany Borders, Lindsey Borders Broadway, Tyler Borders, Nash Duran, Beto Duran, Bobbi Leigh Lott and Rachael Steadman; a host of great nieces and great nephews; her devoted in-laws, Avis and Ray Fletcher; loving sister-in-law, Rebekah Borders; brother-in-law, Shelby Borders; and her beloved fur-babies, Lazarus, Lexie and Cracker Jack; and a host of dear friends that considered her family.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Gabe Richmond, Blaine Murphy, Rhett Fitzgerald, Joe Columbia, Jared Chesser, Kaleb Chesser, Donald Mitchell, Roger Henson, Eric Moses, Preston Gilchrist and Johnny Ashlock.
