The Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Annual Banquet will be Thursday, Nov. 29 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the NSU Student Union Ballroom. The guest speaker is Mo Isom, former LSU soccer player and first female to try out for the SEC football team.

The Cane River Bar and Grill will host Landry’s Wine Tasting Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6-8 p.m. Sample up to eight wines and learn which foods are best to pair with them. It is $10 to attend.

Jazz for Pups, hosted by the Natchitoches Hope for Paws, will be Monday, Dec. 3 from 7:30-9 p.m. at Magale Recital Hall. It will be a night of jazz and giving, with music by the NSU Jazz Combos and donations collected for shelter animals.

The 10th Annual Natchitoches-NSU Multicultural Christmas Concert is Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the LSMSA Treen Auditorium. There will be performances by Justin Cruse, LSMSA Chorale, LSMSA Dance Ensemble, Juliana Handy, Sandy Neal and Friends, Reagan Guillory, Nikita Barnes, Anointed to Praise Dancers, Patricia Brown, Deborah Huntington, Anna MacDonald, Mary Linn Wernet and Sharon Wolff, and Eric Klemme. Donations are welcome to support the Cane River Children’s Services. Admission is free.

Lessons and Carols with the NSU Chamber Choir at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church will be Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Come to the Natchitoches Riverbank Thursday, Dec. 6 for a few Christmas concerts by two local orchestras! The NSU Elementary/Middle Lab School Orchestra will play from 6-7 p.m. and the NCHS Orchestra will play from 7-8 p.m. The concerts are free to attend.

The Natchitoches Skating Rink will host a Women’s Night Out Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. until Dec. 8 at 7 a.m. There will be skating, painting, movies, games, food, drinks and door prizes. The Jaycees and Elite Broadcasting will host the annual Make a Smile Happen Christmas Toy Drive Dec. 7 at noon and Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. at Wal-Mart in Natchitoches.

Christmas for Children, hosted by the Service League of Natchitoches and the Natchitoches Historic Foundation, will be Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Prud’homme-Roquier House. There will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating, crafts, games, face painting, treats and more! Activities are appropriate for children in grades Pre-K through Fifth.

The Natchitoches Humane Society (NHS) will host an adoption event Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Tractor Supply.

Cookies with Santa, hosted by the Natchitoches Christmas Angels and Phi Mu Sorority, will be Sunday, Dec. 9 from 2-4 p.m. at the Phi Mu House. There will also be crafts for children. Tickets are $10, contact any Christmas Angel parent for tickets.

A Slice of Thanks, a free pizza event for Natchitoches veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters and first responders, will be Monday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Join Dr. Kristine Coreil of NSULA, the Trinity Episcopal Church Choir and musical guests at the Trinity Episcopal Church for an evening of sacred readings, music and song Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 6-9 p.m.

Las Posadas: A Los Adaes Christmas Celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Los Adaes State Historic Site in Robeline. Celebrate and discover Spanish Colonial Christmas tradition with piñatas, kids crafts, holiday tastings and more!

If your child attends Natchitoches Junior High or L.P. Vaughn Elementary School, you may apply for a free, bi-monthly school food pantry program. The Natchitoches Junior High School Food Pantry Program offers fresh fruits, vegetables and non-perishable food items from The Food Bank of Central Louisiana. Complete an application with required documents and bring to the pantry site during distribution, which is in NJHS Jag Room F106. Food distribution is the second and fourth Friday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

The Northwestern Louisiana Cancer Center hosts breast cancer support group meetings, called Bosom Buddies Support Group, the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The Bosom Buddies breast cancer support group meetings are for all breast cancer survivors, fighters and caregivers. The NLCC is located at 221 Medical Drive in Natchitoches.

Kiwanis hosts Give Back Night the first Thursday of the month at Chili’s starting at 4 p.m. Mention Kiwanis to your server and Chili’s will donate 15 percent of the event day sales.

Natchitoches Hope for Paws (NHFP) hosts Chili’s Give Back Night every third Thursday of the month from 4-10 p.m. Tell your server you’re there to support NHFP and Chili’s will donate 15 percent of the total of your bill to NHFP.
