A team from Donnie Bickham Middle School in Shreveport won first place overall at Northwestern State University’s annual Robotics Competition Nov. 28. Second place went to a team from Caddo Middle Magnet in Shreveport and third place went to a team from Rapides Academy in Alexandria. Teams tested the strength and agility of their robots in several categories with the winners receiving cash prizes to put towards the purchase of technology in their classrooms. The annual event is sponsored by NSU’s Department of Engineering Technology and is open to middle schools within a 200-mile radius of Natchitoches.
