A cat dropped by to get a first hand, um Paw, look at the new shelter.
The feline building was delivered to the Natchitoches Animal Shelter Tuesday, Nov. 27. NHS spokesperson Juanita Murphy said donations and support for the project came from Mayor Lee Posey, Shelter Director Jonathan Meziere, Hannah Perot-Wenninger, Shawn Daily, Brenda Collins Stamey, Mary Christina Bistodeau, Mary F. Striegel and Jennifer Wilson and others. Graceland Portable Buildings employees, Marcus Pittman, left, and Christian Daniels of Mississippi delivered and set up the building. Murphy said there is much more work to do including finishing the interior and adding the cat porch so the felines can go outside at will in a safe, protected environment.
