NPSO 911Communications received a 911 call of a vehicle in high water on La. Hwy 478 near Flora Monday, Dec. 10 at 4:49 a.m.
Patrol deputies responded finding a 2016 Kia passenger car disabled in high water.
The 22-year-old operator of the vehicle from Greenville, Ill., stated she was traveling westbound in dark and heavy fog conditions when she unexpectedly entered the high water over the roadway.
She further stated the vehicle began floating and she exited the vehicle by climbing out of the driver’s side window.
A motorist stopped to assist.
A local wrecker service was contacted to recover the vehicle.
The driver, traveling to Fort Polk, was uninjured, however, she was wet and cold from the incident.
