Thelma Kendra Tate, 34, of Natchitoches and Majeed Syed Abdul, 31, of Hyderabad, India announce their upcoming marriage ceremony.
Ms. Tate is the daughter of Virginia and Norman Tate Sr. of Natchitoches. She obtained her Master’s in Adult Education and Graduate Certificate in TESOL from Northwestern State University. She has served as an academic/advisor and instructor at NSU and adjunct instructor at Bossier Parish Community College. Once in Chicago, she will be working at Loyola University.
Mr. Syed Abdul is the son of Aliya Begum and Alhaj Syed Abdul Rasheed of Hyderabad, India. He obtained his Master of Business Administration from Osmania University and Master’s in Information Systems Security from the University of the Cumberlands. He is an entrepreneur based in Chicago.
The traditional Indian ceremony will be Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the Skokie Banquet and Conference Center, Holiday Inn Chicago North Shore. The pair will honeymoon in India and Europe next year and plan to settle in Rogers Park, Chicago.
