Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s help while searching for Donnie E. Collins Jr., w/m, 44, 5′ 10″, 200 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes of Natchitoches.
Collins was last seen wearing denim jeans and a sweatshirt.
Family members contacted the NPSO reporting Collins missing Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and La. State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on La. Hwy 1 near Johnson Chute Friday, Dec. 7 at 10:45 p.m. involving a white 2002 Toyota pickup truck owned by Collins, however, he was not at the scene when law enforcement arrived.
Family members told deputies they haven’t seen or heard from Collins since then.
Deputies have also checked with hospitals in the area.
Sheriff Victor Jones, deputies, Criminal Investigations and Natchitoches Parish Fire District # 7 returned to the crash scene with all-terrain vehicles this morning, Dec. 12.
As a precautionary measure, deputies are searching the nearby area of La. Hwy 1 to make sure Collins didn’t wander out into the woods after the crash.
His cellphone and wallet were reportedly found in the crashed vehicle.
