OEP Director Mary Jones provided the following severe weather information:
There is a risk for severe thunderstorms across all of the Four State Region Thursday, Dec. 13.
Severe Weather Timing and Overview:
An initial round of strong thunderstorms will develop tonight and move across the area during the morning hours and will exit to the east around noon.
Additional thunderstorms may develop back to the west across Southeast Oklahoma and East Texas by midday ahead of a cold front and a strong surface low.
These storms will gradually move east and northeast across the area.
The primary risk for severe weather should be from midday and into the evening hours.
