Rebecca Blankenbaker, Cane River National Heritage Area Executive Director said, “During the government shutdown our office is open and walking tours will continue. The Grand Ecore Visitor Center is closed during the shutdown. Los Adaes SHS is closed during January and February, except by appointment only. Scheduled tours can be made by calling our office 318-356-5555.”
Carrie Mordorf, Superintendent of Cane River Creole National Historical Park said, “Cane River Creole National Historical Park (Oakland and Magnolia Plantations) is closed to all visitors during the government shutdown. Visitors should check the park website at https://www.nps.gov/cari/index.htm for additional information.”
