A weather system will generate widespread rainfall across the region from Wednesday through Thursday evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches expected areawide with up to 4 inches possible across portions of north Louisiana from Natchitoches to Monroe.
The primary concern with this rainfall is the ongoing flood threat across area rivers and lakes, especially those experiencing minor flooding. The situation will continue to be monitored for the possibility of flood related watches or warnings if necessary.
