Funeral services honoring the life of Louise Smith Stutts, 76, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield with the Rev. Roger Bynog Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Harmony Cemetery in Provencal.
Louise was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Provencal to Minden and Caroline Garthman Smith and entered into rest Jan. 1, 2019, in Kilgore, Texas.
Preceding Louise in death are her parents; three husbands, Gerald LaCour, Roger Ashlock and Earl Stutts; and brother, Minden Hall Smith Jr.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are sons, Gerald LaCour Sr. and wife Lori of Kilgore, Thomas LaCour and wife Yolanda of Princeton, La., Johnny Ashlock and wife Angela of Englewood, Colo., James Ashlock Jr. of Provencal and Earl “Bo” Stutts of Pleasant Hill; daughter, Barbara Bynog and husband Roger of Marshall, Texas; sister, Maggie Scarborough of Natchitoches; brother, William “Bill” Smith of Galva, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Honoring Louise as pallbearers were David Boyle, Michael Fish, Robert Franklin, Matt Gilleland, Lynn Oxley and Jessie Ruybal.
Honorary pallbearer was Roger Bynog.
