DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call Dec. 26 at 7 p.m. involving an altercation witnessed in the parking lot of a business east of Mansfield. Upon arrival, deputies located an abandoned vehicle owned by a female employee who had not shown up for work that day.
Deputies obtained cell phone information on the female, and working with the cellular provider located the victim at Natchitoches Central Jr. High School in the City of Natchitoches. It was later learned by detectives the female had been taken against her will and was being held by an abductor, later identified as Brian Young, b/m, 32, of Natchitoches, who was a coach at the school.
Young was taken into custody by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Young was later transferred to the DeSoto Parish Detention Center and booked for Kidnapping and Domestic Violence. The investigation into the incident is still on-going.
