Umbrellas needed all week

Confidence is growing in our rainfall forecast for this work week. However, amounts for the weekend rains are less certain.

Timing and Overview:
Multiple rounds of widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast to move across our region beginning late tonight/early Tuesday morning and continuing through the work week. A final round of stronger storms will impact our area Friday night through Saturday night.

Four State Impacts:

Expected Accumulations:  One to three inches through Friday (see graphic below).

Less certain is an additional one to three inches that will be possible with the storms Friday night through Saturday night, the heaviest of which is currently forecast to fall mainly along and north of I-20.

Impacts:  Isolated flash flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas by this weekend; rises on area lakes and rivers, especially late this weekend and into next work week.
