Lakeview High School Air Force JROTC cadets continue work toward their mission of “Developing Citizens of Character Dedicated to Serving Their Nation and Community.” Their Drill Team won second in Armed Inspection and third in Unarmed Regulation Drill during the LA Tech Bulldog Invitational Drill Meet Jan. 26.
The Kitty Hawk Air Society Team Members prepared 200 cards and Valentine’s Day gift bags and visited with veterans and patients at the VA Medical Center in Pineville. Thus far, the cadets of Lakeview’s Air Force JROTC have performed over 2,100 hours of school and community service this year.
Their next community service project will be March 16 to clean five miles of Highway 9 as part of the state’s “Adopt-A-Road” program.
