EPIC TOUCH CO., INC., d/b/a/ EPICTOUCH, a leader in rural broadband in SW Kansas, announced March 4 that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire CP-TEL Holdings, Inc. (together with its subsidiaries, “CP-TEL”), a leading broadband provider in Northwest Louisiana.

Trenton D. Boaldin, CEO of EPICTOUCH said, “The acquisition of CP-TEL is a crucial milestone for our company’s strategic plan to grow through acquisition and strategic expansion. CP-TEL’s leadership has provided solid growth and they’ve built a great network that we can build on together.” Richard Gill, President and CEO of CP-TEL stated, “I’m excited that our family company is being acquired by another family owned firm that believes in taking care of the employees and the communities where we live and work.”

Under the agreement, Gill will stay on as the General Manager of CP-TEL after the acquisition. Both Boaldin and Gill are committed to continued growth of the broadband company and do not foresee changes in employee count following the acquisition. EPICTOUCH’s Boaldin shared, “There is no down side here… we are bringing two families together with a ton of experience in broadband and looking to leverage the ideas, enthusiasm and diversity to position the combined family business for exponential growth.” The acquisition will be a stock transaction in which EPICTOUCH will acquire 100 percent of CP-TEL’s shares.

The parties expect the transaction to be completed during second quarter 2019, subject to regulatory approval and the other conditions set forth in the definitive agreement.
