Resident Spotlight – Michael Lewis

272

Michael Lewis says it makes him feel good to see seniors having a good time. Lewis has been active in the Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging (COA) since 2006 and is now in his second term as chairman of the board.

He even originated the slogan for COA, “In Natchitoches Parish we don’t want our seniors to endure. We want them to enjoy.” He was instrumental in the effort to get State funding for the present building and is now working with others to get a new parking lot because there are so many participants.

Lewis is a member of Agape Love Center, is on the City of Natchitoches Planning and Zoning Commission and is a member of an awareness committee at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. He is also a small business owner and has operated Mike’s Gun Shop since 1991.

Lewis and his wife, Faye, have been married for 40 years and are the parents of three children.
