Task Force agents make drug, firearms arrests

Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents arrested several people for drug and firearm charges on I-49 over the Mardi Gras weekend.
On March 1, Criminal Patrol Units stopped a 2003 GMC Yukon for a traffic violation. When agents made contact with the driver, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in agents finding the following:
* 33 grams of suspected marijuana in a plastic container
* 1 suspected marijuana cigarette
* Numerous small clear plastic bags.
Kimberly Carter, 42, 3100 block of Los Robles, Almagordo, N.M., was charged with:
* Possession CDS Sch. I (High Grade Marijuana)
Jacob Deleon,  26, 2400 block of Abbott Ave, Almagordo, NM, was arrested on the charge:
* Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On March 2, Criminal Patrol Units stopped a 2016 Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation. During the stop, agents observed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search yielded:
* 2grams of suspected Liquid THC
* 14.2 grams of suspected Marijuana
Matt Crowford, 27, 1000 block of Blanchard Place, Shreveport, was charged with:
* Possession CDS Sch. I (Marijuana)
* Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Later that day Criminal Patrol Units stopped a 2015 Chevy Malibu for speeding 92/75. While speaking with the driver agents could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A search yielded:
* 4.2 ounces of suspected High Grade Marijuana
* 9mm Ruger handgun stolen from Kaufman County, Texas
* .45 cal Springfield handgun stolen from Dallas, Texas
Kendall Russell, 27, 200 block of S Barns Dr. Apt. D, Garland, Texas, was charged with
* Possession of CDS Sch. I (High Grade Marijuana)
* Possession of a Stolen Firearm
* Possession of Firearm in Presence of CDS
* Second or Subsequent Offense
Dravin McGee, 26, 9000 block of Forest Lane, Dallas, was charged with:
* Possession of CDS Sch. I (Marijuana)
* Possession of a Stolen Firearm
* Second or Subsequent Offense
That afternoon Criminal Patrol Units stopped a 2014 Kia Soul for a traffic violation. While speaking with the subjects agents could detect the odor of marijuana omitting from the vehicle. A search resulted in locating:
* 3.3 grams of suspected marijuana
* Marijuana grinder
Jamilah Karriem, 25, 600 block of Ocean View Drive, Dallas, was charged with:
* Possession of CDS Sch. I (Marijuana)
