NSU baseball great Billie Roy Cook throws out first pitch at Washington Nationals Opening Day



Shreveport native Billie Roy Cook is in Northwestern’s N-Club Hall of Fame and his No. 10 jersey is retired, displayed with three others on the wall at Brown-Stroud Field. He won a school-record 29 games from 1957-59 as a right-handed pitcher for the Demons. He was a four-year all-Gulf States Conference pick.
