NSU chapter of Sigma Theta Tau inducts 119 new members

SHREVEPORT – The Northwestern State University Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society welcomed 119 new members at its annual induction ceremony.

Sigma’s mission is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Sigma’s vision is to be the global organization of choice for nursing. Potential members who meet eligibility criteria are invited to join Sigma – baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing. Sigma has more than 135,000 active members in more than 90 countries.

Dr. Danita Potter is president of the Beta Chi chapter. Ruth Ann Moore is past president and Alyea Pollard is president-elect.
