NCHS boys take second, girls fourth at Tioga Reservation Relays

The Natchitoches Central High School Track and Field teams competed in the Tioga Reservation Relays at Tioga High School March 29. Twenty teams competed with both boys and girls teams having impressive finishes. The NCHS boys team placed second and the girls placed fourth. On the track for the boys the sprinters had a good day. Jeremiah Aaron placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.34 and Braylin Demars won first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.02. In distance, Dwan Stuckey came in second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.67. In the 300 meter hurdles, NCHS hurdlers finished second and third with Devon Sowell placing second with a time of 41.88 and Anthony Moses third with a time of 42.27.

The relay teams performed very well with second place finishes in all four relays; the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400 and 4×800. In field events, Dale Newton helped the boys team with a first place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 43 feet, 1inch. The girls team placed fourth overall with great performances in the hurdles, relays and the shot put. Madison Brown was first in the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles with times of 17.32 and 49.64 respectively.

The girls relay teams placed second in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 51.51 and third in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:48.75. In field events, Isabelle Clark had a winning throw of 35 feet, 4 inches in the shot put. See below for complete results of the Boys and Girls Teams:
