A number of ECCO Ride bus drivers did not report for work Friday afternoon, April 5, in an effort to get the attention of ECCO corporate.
The informant whom called the Natchitoches Times prior to the event said Monday the drivers had met with corporate and local representatives of the company. “ We really just wanted them to hear our concerns and we did what we had to do to make that happen,” the informant said. “They are meeting us halfway.”
Local manager Jason Edwards said Monday, “All the drivers showed up this morning and ran their routes. Everything got resolved.”
Drivers and the company will meet again this summer to discuss their contract, paid time off and wages.
