Ribbon Cuttings


Several businesses in Natchitoches had a ribbon cutting ceremony in the past week. The Natchitoches Chamber of Commerce hosts ribbon cutting ceremonies when a business becomes a member of the chamber.

Southern Maid Doughnuts, located beside the Shop A Lott location on South Drive, has almost every doughnut type imaginable. Their ribbon cutting was Friday, April 5. Southern Maid is open Monday-Saturday from 5 a.m. – 6 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Cutting the ribbon is owner Jennifer Carlock. Chamber photo

Immediately following Southern Maid’s ribbon cutting ceremony was another ceremony for Shop A Lott. This new location for the convenience store might be the first place you see coming south into Natchitoches via Hwy 1. They are open every day from 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. Cutting the ribbon is Buddy Lott. The Cakery, Natchitoches’ latest cupcake, custom cake and cookie bakery, had a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, April 9. Take care of your sweet tooth Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sundays. Cutting the ribbon is Laura Rodgers.
