A weak cold front will shift east into East Texas and the I-30 corridor during the afternoon on Wednesday and will be the focus for heavy rainfall. Elsewhere, a surface low pressure system will approach the area from the southwest in conjunction with an upper level system which will increase the threat for isolated severe weather across much of the area Wednesday evening.

Impacts: Large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado will all be possible across much of the area, especially in and around areas of Deep East Texas, during the evening hours on Wednesday shifting into the early morning hours on Thursday. In addition, heavy rainfall of 2 to 3 inches with localized higher amounts will be possible across portions of East Texas.
