A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Roy T. Daniel, 73, of Natchitoches passed away peacefully April 27, 2019, with his family by his side .

He was born April 29, 1945, in Ruston and resided in Natchitoches Parish for 35 years, since receiving honorable discharge from the United States Army.

Shirley Hurt Davis of Campti passed peacefully in the presence of her family April 29, 2019, after a prolonged illness. Shirley will lie in state Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. for anyone wishing to pay their respects. The family will be present Sunday from 3-5 p.m.

A memorial service will be Monday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. for all who would like to join the family in celebrating her life. All proceedings will be at Mount Olivet Chapel, 2301 N Sylvania Ave., Ft Worth, Texas.

Funeral service will be at Choctaw Island Baptist Church near Clarence Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. with burial following in the church’s cemetery.  The remains will lie in state at Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and again at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Homegoing Celebration will be at Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. The remains will lie in state in the funeral home two hours before service time. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  She was the oldest member of the New Birth Baptist Church in Natchez.  She will be missed!
