Despite the mangled mess in this two vehicle crash on La. Hwy. 9, the occupants of the vehicles escaped serious injury. The accident involved a 2017 GMC pickup pulling a trailer loaded with a lawnmower and lawn equipment driven by Don Scoggins, w/m, 79, of Leesville and a 2018 unloaded Mack log truck driven by William Francis, w/m, 63, of Farmerville.
The crash occurred about 5 p.m. Monday, May 6 just south of Jim Bell Road on Hwy 9. There was no record of citations issued.
