The Northwestern State baseball team’s mid-week finale at UL Monroe on Tuesday night has been canceled.
Heavy rains across the weekend and late last week left the Warhawk Field playing surface in unplayable condition, leading to the first cancellation of the season for the Demons. The game will not be made up.
The Demons (29-21, 14-13) return to action Thursday when they open a three-game Southland Conference at conference-leading Sam Houston State. First pitch for the series opener is set for 6:30 p.m.
