Motel 6

A Celebration of Life service for Gennell Williams of Natchitoches will be at Oasis of Love Fellowship Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. Gennell, 76, passed away May 17, 2019, following a courageous six month battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death, recently, by her husband of 57 years, Benny R. Williams.

She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Rains and husband Ken of Knoxville, Tenn.; son, Stan Williams and wife Michelle of Natchitoches; six grandchildren who affectionately call her “Nana” and miss her dearly, Jordan Rains and wife Katie, Ashton Rains, Anna Williams, Abigail Williams and Ryne Williams; one sister, Carolyn Miotti of Camdenton, Mo., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gennell was a member of Oasis of Love Fellowship for over 40 years.  She is known in the city as “Ms. Gennell,” the sweet secretary at Oasis of Love Christian Academy until her retirement in 2001. You could always depend on her to make delicious dishes for any church function. Her most popular requests were chicken and spaghetti and her Honey Bun cake.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate Gennell and stay around for Honey Bun cake and coffee following the service.
