The inaugural Neighborhood Garage Sale for the St. Clair/Whitfield area will be Saturday, June 1. The sales will start at homes in this East Natchitoches neighborhood at 7 a.m. and close around noon (or while supplies last).
Items offered for sale include clothes, furniture, tools, kitchen items and decorative items. Some homes will also have lemonade stands and bake sales.
The St. Clair/Whitfield area has been a popular location for garage sales so residents decided to make it an annual affair. Organizers Stephanie McKinney and Reba Phelps hope to grow the event by adding more homes every year.
