Brooklyn Hampton, a graduate of the Natchitoches Central High School class of 2018, won an FFA scholarship sponsored by Domino’s. Hampton attends Louisiana State University and is studying agronomy & crop science and agricultural business & management, with the intent to advocate for the future of agriculture. She currently serves as the 2018-19 State FFA President.
During her time in FFA, Hampton held multiple leadership roles, including chapter president, and was the Area II president in 2017-18. She earned five state championships in multiple FFA competitions including ag issues, dairy foods, floriculture and prepared public speaking, as well as a national championship in the agronomy career development event. Hampton also participated in the Natchitoches Central athletic training program, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, student government, Beta club, National Honors Society and Natchitoches Central class officers.
She served her community through Westside Baptist Church and during her time as 2017-18 Natchitoches Christmas Belle. Eighteen students across the country received $1,000 scholarships sponsored by Domino’s. The scholarships are part of Domino’s five-year, $1 million commitment to the National FFA Organization.
“I, along with the other franchisees across the country, know there is no Domino’s without the dairy, tomato, wheat and other farmers working hard every day to produce the food we serve,” said Glenn Mueller, Domino’s franchise owner in Natchitoches.
“I am glad we can help local students by sponsoring scholarships to help them achieve their dreams and develop a successful career in the agriculture industry.”
