Sudden link customers should have restored service soon

A spokesperson from Suddenlink stated the fiber optic cable that provides cable, cell and television services to the Natchitoches area was cut when a tree fell onto the overhead line during the overnight storms.

The tree also took down an electrical power line. Suddenlink had to be cleared by the electric company for safety before they could begin restoration.

The tree has been removed and Suddenlink has received safety clearance to begin work as of 3 p.m.

Updates will be posted as they become available.
