Everyone who knew Lizzie loved her. She always had the best stories of her 92 years on earth.  We all learned so much from her and will be forever grateful for the knowledge she passed to us.  She was an excellent cook and never followed a written recipe. She would always say “watch and learn.”  She had a deep love for animals, especially her dog, Bocephus.  Bocephus was her baby and she cared for him better than she cared for herself.  Her greatest love was for her family and home, and she was an excellent provider.  Although at times she was very stubborn, she was always genuine and that is why we loved her so much.  She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

A service to celebrate her life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.  Burial will follow at Clear Lake Cemetery near Goldonna.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Johnny Nobles, Billy Martin, Wesley Martin, Tim Gourdon, Skipper Nobles and Mark Tingle.
