Natchitoches Police arrest Clarence Jenkins after vehicle pursuit



NPD officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Pauline Street July 19 around 8:25 p.m. in reference to a cyber stalking complaint. Upon arrival they located Clarence Jenkins, b/m, 18, of Natchitoches driving his vehicle down Raphiel Street. Officers attempted to pull Jenkins over but he refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit throughout the neighborhood.  During the pursuit Jenkins continued to drive in a reckless manner and crashed into two Natchitoches Police Department vehicles.

Jenkins is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a peace officer, aggravated flight, hit and run, careless operation, resisting an officer by force or violence, 16 counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, 17 counts of no turn signal, stalking, cyber stalking and simple assault. Jenkins was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
